- Foundational Knowledge: Study key topics including Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology.
- Administration Training: Develop proficiency in medical office management, billing, insurance, electronic health records, and scheduling.
- Comprehensive Clinical Training: Acquire essential hands-on skills in phlebotomy, injections, vital signs, patient preparation, and medical procedure assistance.
- National Certification: Upon completing course requirements, you will be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) exams (included in course fee) to become a nationally certified medical assistant. Achieving national certification enhances your professional credibility and employment prospects.
- Course Completion Certificate: Receive a course completion certificate confirming you have completed the training program and are prepared for entry-level positions in healthcare.
- CPR Certification: CPR training and certification are included and confirms your ability to respond to medical emergencies, a valuable credential for healthcare employers.
- Real-World Experience: An optional externship is available for students seeking valuable clinical experience.
Additional Student Expenses
The following additional fees (estimated at $150) are required and are not included in the course tuition:
- NHA CCMA Study Materials: Students are required to purchase the NHA CCMA SkillsBuilder and CCMA practice exams
- Uniform Scrubs: Students must purchase and wear uniform scrubs (any color or pattern is acceptable).
Prerequisite: High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED/HiSET)
Completion of class does not guarantee employment. Earning a CMAA and CCMA certification is highly recommended for entering the medical field.
Classes are held for 17 weeks, Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays.
